The Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour is Heading to Cape Town

For the first time in eight years, South Africa is hosting a World Series volleyball event! That's right, Cape Town has been selected as the host city for the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour 2022 and it's set to be an occasion for the books.

From 1-6 November, the Mother City will become home to the best beach volleyball athletes from around the globe. This tournament includes the world’s top 16 male and female teams who will battle it out for one of the highest accolades in international volleyball. Yes! Team South Africa will also be part of the tournament action!

The city of Cape Town is going ALL IN to host this fab showpiece and has selected The Grand Parade in the CBD as the official stage for this exciting event. Loads and loads of sand is currently being trucked into the city centre in the construction of four professional beach volleyball courts. Included in the set-up, are large spectator stands that promise all the comfort and the best views to enjoy the competitive volleyball action.

With amazing summery weather on the forecast, this is going to be a real treat of an occasion. Soak up the sun while experiencing loads of sporting action, food trucks, bars and DJ’s that will all add to a time-and-a-half!
