Netflix's Money Heist is Making a Return
Updated: Aug 22, 2022
Netflix is known for releasing the best and most addictive series that get you totally hooked from the very first episode. We’ve all been there before…enjoying a show (maybe a little too much), and the next thing you realize, a disturbing number of hours has passed by and you find yourself awake at 2am with a totally messed up sleep schedule.
Money Heist was that show for many. The super binge worthy series explores the story of a criminal mastermind who works with a team of recruits to pull off the biggest heists in history. This Netflix Original sadly came to an end after five fabulous seasons. However, its wide scale popularity has led to an additional production, which is set to be released sooner than we realized!
‘Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area’ comes out on Netflix on 24th June this year and will see the introduction of a whole new cast and storyline. Unlike the previous seasons, which were produced in Spanish, the upcoming release represents a Korean production. It has been revealed that the names of each character will remain the same in the new series, however, different personalities and character adaptations will be explored.
The much anticipated show is set to include twelve episodes which lie in the region of one hour each. Don’t worry, the binge-ing behaviour can hopefully be avoided this time round (or at least reduced). This is because the release will be staggered across two separate parts of six episodes each. Get that snack cabinet ready for action ‘cos it’s sure to be a worthy affair!
