Cape Town as a whole is known for its endless amounts of beauty! This beauty extends far beyond the natural landscapes, beaches and sunsets and can ALSO be used to describe the city's impressive culinary scene. There are many quality food spots to explore that not only serve up amazing food but also offer a 10/10 design and aesthetic. Let's take a look at these visual masterpieces...


1 - Mochi Mochi


Mochi Mochi’s brand new store at Heritage Square is an absolute yes! With a playful pastel colour scheme and animated Japanese-style graphics lining the walls, there’s just so much to appreciate. This spot serves up all kinds of fun and exciting sweet treats and beverages and are praised for their insane Mochi (Japanese dessert) variety. No questions asked, it’s up there as one of Cape Town’s cutest and most aesthetically pleasing food hangouts.


2 - Truth Cafè


As you step foot into this inner city cafè, you’re transported into a whole different world with vintage metal pipes, typewriting machines, old pianos and decor like never seen before! Adding to this special experience, are the waiters and waitresses who are dressed up in the coolest gear to match the steampunk setting. These coffee connoisseurs offer an impressive menu of different coffee bean roasts along with some really tasty brunch options that are not to be missed.



3 - Yen’s Vietnamese


Yen’s Vietnamese is a super cosy restaurant located in the arty area of De Waterkant. This fabulously decorated space is dressed with all the details to transport you straight to Vietnam. The bold colours, low lying lights and Asian- inspired wall art combine to create a really picture perfect setting. Serving up many traditional eats such as: spring rolls, bao buns and noodles - it’s worth all the attention. Did you know that Yen’s Vietnamese also has a stall at the Oranjezicht Market?


4 - Arthur’s Mini Superette


Keeping things casual but incredibly easy on the eye is the one and only Arthur’s Mini Superette. This Seapoint cafè is a vintage dream! The unapologetically bright colour scheme and arty floor pattern makes for such a vibrant space. Enjoy the feel good vibes while munching on their delectable toasties, breakfast buns, salads and more while purchasing a thing or two from their cute deli area.


5 - Susu Bubble Tea


Tucked away in the charming area of De Waterkant is this serious piece of eye candy! Susu Bubble Tea is a fun and energetic store that serves up bubble tea in many different varieties. With a bold colour palette, retro lighting and funky furniture - it’s as good as it gets! Head on over to grab a drink and while you’re there, you may just wanna take a pic for your next Insta post. PS - It may be helpful to know that Susu Bubble Tea also has a store at Canal Walk Shopping Centre.

The proof is in the pudding (excuse the pun), this city clearly knows a thing or two about design and aesthetics. With top notch furniture pieces, wall art, lighting fixtures and more - Cape Town restaurants have got it all going on.
