Offering a super laid back but promising shopping experience, is ‘The Slow Fashion Collective’. This hidden gem is based in the arty suburb of Woodstock and regularly hosts the best weekend thrift markets. Their concept involves the coming together of local 2nd hand clothing brands who offer a one stop shopping experience. Find luxury vintage items, who are in need of a new owner, at prices like no other. The Slow Fashion Collective is a great place to purchase anything and everything. 3. True Grit Market

It has to be said that first Thursdays are one of Cape Town’s most popular events. The city comes alive as people enjoy a night of food, drinks, dancing and…shopping. Introducing The True Grit Market, a fantastic spot for some solid retail therapy. It is a super vibey street market which goes down every first Thursday of each month where different vintage clothing vendors set up at one location, to provide the ultimate thrift shopping experience. Find them in the heart of the city, on Bree street from 5pm till 9pm. There is no greater way to kick off a fun night out with some friends, then by bagging one or two epic wardrobe pieces.
