Celeb Cookie Recipes To Fuel Your Week

The winter season has us craving cookies like never before! They are the absolute best accompaniment to a cuppa' tea or coffee and don't require too much time in the kitchen. Here are 3 super delish celeb cookie recipes that you should defs try out on your next baking mission:

Blake Lively’s Heart Sugar Cookies:


Ingredients:


To make the cookies:

  • 2 3/4 x cups cake flour

  • 1 x tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1 x cup softened butter

  • 1 1/2 x cups sugar

  • 1 x egg

  • 1 x tsp vanilla extract


To make the icing:

  • 4 x cups icing sugar

  • 1/2 cup oil

  • 5 x tbsp milk

  • 1 x tsp vanilla extract

  • Food colouring of choice


Instructions:


1. Preheat the oven to 180°C

2. In a large bowl combine the flour, baking soda and baking powder.

3. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar until smooth. After this, add in the egg and vanilla.

4. Combine the mixture with the dry ingredients.

5. Roll out the dough and cut it into heart shapes.

6. Place the hearts on a greased baking tray for 8-10 minutes.

7. As the cookies bake, start making the frosting.

8. Mix the sugar and oil, then add in the milk and vanilla. Combine until it thickens.

9. Dye the icing with a small splash of food colouring.

10. Once the cookies are out of the oven, leave to cool for a few minutes.

11. Use an icing bag or ziplock packet (with the end cut off) to ice the cookies as desired.

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Total time: 25 minutes

Martha Stewart’s Choc Chip Cookies:


Ingredients:

  • 2 3/4 x cups cake flour

  • 1 1/4 x tsp kosher salt

  • 1 x tsp baking powder

  • 1 x tsp baking soda

  • 1 1/4 x cups unsalted butter

  • 1 1/4 x cups brown sugar

  • 3/4 x cups granulated sugar

  • 2 x large eggs

  • 1 x tsp vanilla extract

  • 4 1/2 x cups chocolate chips


Instructions:

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C

  2. Whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix the butter and sugars until it looks light and fluffy.

  4. Add the eggs to the butter mixture one by one, then add in the vanilla extract.

  5. Combine the flour mixture with the liquids and beat until fully combined.

  6. Add in the chocolate chips and mix until nicely distributed.

  7. Cover the dough and put it in the fridge for a few minutes (overnight is also fine).

  8. Use an ice cream scoop to place the dough onto a greased baking tray (space each cookie nicely apart)

  9. Bake the cookies for 15-17 minutes.

  10. Allow them to cool down for a few minutes before moving onto a wire rack.

Cooking time: 17 minutes

Total time: 30 minutes

Kourtney Kardashian’s Dairy & Gluten Free Gingersnap Cookies:


Ingredients:

  • 1 x cup vegan butter

  • 1/2 x cup white sugar

  • 1/2 x cup brown sugar

  • 1/3 x cup gluten-free molasses

  • 1 x egg

  • 2 1/4 x cups cake flour

  • 1 1/2 x tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 x tsp baking powder

  • 1 x tsp ground ginger

  • 1/2 tsp x ground cloves

  • 1/2 tsp x cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp x cardamom

  • 1/2 tsp x ground pepper

  • 1/2 tsp x salt


Instructions:

  1. Use an electric whisk to beat together the butter and sugars until smooth.

  2. Add in the molasses and egg and mix to combine.

  3. In another bowl, mix all of the dry ingredients together.

  4. Combine the dry and wet mixtures.

  5. Cover the dough and refrigerate for 1 hour.

  6. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C

  7. Roll the dough into small circular shapes and gently press them down on a lined baking tray (ensure enough space is given between each cookie)

  8. Bake for 7-9 minutes.

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Cooking time: 7-9 minutes

Total time: 25 minutes
