Brand New Restaurants in Cape Town

Eat your heart out Cape Town! There are some top brand new restaurants which have just opened up their doors on local shores. Keep reading to learn more.


1 - Cowfish


An urban buzz with a modern, Asian twist - Cowfish serves you the best of both. This all new Bree Street hangout specialises in all the good stuff! Whether its sushi, seafood or some juicy steak that you are craving, they are sure to secure maximum levels of satisfaction. Dine in a high end space that represents loads of luxury while digging into a magnificent meal. This spot opened its doors on 23 November and has since been eagerly awaiting your arrival. Don’t test their patients any longer and make that booking!



2 - Patina Steak Newlands


This ultra classy foodie destination is nothing short of superb. The rich wooden furnishings and grand dining space makes it a dining experience worthy of royalty! Introducing the incredible Patina Steak Newlands. Having expanded its restaurant footprint with this new venue, Patina Steak is slowly but surely stamping its claim on the Cape Town restaurant game. Find them at D’aria or pay a visit to the new and shiny Southern Suburbs spot, either way, you’ll be happy. This wonderfully classy restaurant forms part of the Copper Collection which is home to the well known names of: The Lawns, Copper Club and The Terrace (amongst others).



3 - Grub & Vine Norval


Situated in the beautiful art gallery known as the Norval Foundation in Tokai, is the newly opened Grub & Vine Norval. This refined bistro experience put together with the amazing creative demonstrations, is simply a match made in restaurant heaven! Enjoy bistro-style food and the best selection of wine from the picturesque Winelands - this location is a tough one to beat. It’s an honest and stripped down celebration of arts, culture and culinary. This new venue represents the second restaurant under the Grub & Fine name, with their initial branch cooking up a storm from the vibrant Bree Street.



4 - RIKŪ


If nouveau cuisine is up your alley, the brand new RIKU cannot be overlooked! Hailing out of the Biscuit Mill in Woodstock, this absolute masterclass is the definition of food in art form. Led by the Global Best Chef of 2019,

O’Donnchu, this is a display of world class cuisine if it's ever been said. The abstract nature of the dishes both challenges and gifts diners with the ultimate adventure! This is food for thought. Bookings are limited to 12 guests per sitting to make for an even more exclusive experience. Lunch and dinner is served.



5 - PALS


Weekly DJ lineups, cocktails, slushies, pizza and good times - that’s what you can expect from the brand new Kloof Street jol called PALS. Whether it’s a slush, a slice, a drink, a dance, a cookie or a soft serve ice cream, you can get it all right here. Introduced by the makers of Yours Truly, and The Moveable Feast (to mention a few), this new hangout is guaranteed to serve up elite vibes! The neon lights and retro feel will take you back to an 80’s party and a half. The cosy interior offers bar and table seating. Their speciality includes giant pizza slices, boozy slushies and music from the decades. Nights out are about to get a whole new kinda special.
