Brand New Restaurants in Cape Town

New food spots seem to be a regular occurrence in the Mother City and dare we complain! The culinary landscape is as competitive as ever been meaning that good food is always just around the corner. Keep reading to meet some of the city's brand new restaurant additions...


1 - VUE


This brand spanking new rooftop bar and restaurant offers the perfect blend between sophistication and relaxation. Vue is located in the heart of the Mother City, offering panoramic views of the city! Their delicious food menu includes small plates, mains, salads and top notch desserts to end off a stellar occasion. Taking pride in their expansive selection of champagnes and wines - this is the place for sundowners extraordinaire.



2 - Bellagio


Hailing out of the charming area of Greenpoint, is the fabulous mediterranean muse of Bellagio. Celebrating the bold flavours of Mediterranean cuisine with expertise in Italian cooking, this venue has it all going on. Indulge in the freshest seasonal ingredients that come together to create the most spectacular plates of food from warm baked bread and tasty salads to classic pasta dishes and an amazing seafood risotto. 3 - Hugo Social Club


Luxury is the name of the game at Hugo Social Club! This new kid on the block is situated on the rooftop of the Latitude Aparthotel building in Seapoint, serving up the most insane ocean views. Sip, dine and daydream in maximum style at this enchanting sky-high spot which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner! Rumour has it their cocktails are worth all your attention. The vibes are hip and happening on the 9th floor of the Regent Road-based building.



4 - Florentin


Simplicity is the name of the game over at the newly opened Florentin on Loop Street. This mediterranean inspired café specialises in flavour-packed sharing plates in a super contemporary and well decorated space. Found on the ground floor of the Tokyo building, some of their menu highlights include: tasty shakshuka, turkish eggs, cinnamon swirl pastries, freshly baked croissants and a coffee offering of dreams! Breakfast is their main focus as things stand but a lunch and dinner menu has been teased to release pretty soon.



5 - Dawn Asian Restaurant


A new fine dining gem has opened its doors in the area of De Waterkant and Dawn is its name! Heroes of eastern cuisine, this venue is the place to witness a deliciously modern twist on Chinese favourites. It’s a taste adventure of note where sharing is absolutely caring - take your pick amongst their selection of small plates and allow your tastebuds to rejoice.
