Brand New Food Spots in the Mother City (August '23)

Trying out a new restaurant is never a bad idea! Good thing that Cape Town has plenty of foodie introductions waiting to be explored. Amongst the new spots includes: a Middle Eastern style eatery, a friendly café experience, a Turkish themed family restaurant and a Mediterranean shisha lounge.


1 - Cooked


The Adelphi Galleria in Seapoint has recently become home to the much loved Middle Eastern family restaurant, Cooked. This lovely new eatery places family and food at the forefront of its offering and serves up the most amazing dishes that have been passed down through many generations. Making use of fresh seasonal ingredients across the menu offering, this new spot serves up a bit of everything and is therefore sure to appeal to all kinds of cravings. From breakfast and lunch to a yummy sweet indulgence, this is the go! Rumour has it they make the most amazing bagels that are 100% hand rolled and as traditional as it gets.



2 - The Good Neighbour


If you thought things couldn't get any better, the Southern Suburbs foodie community has introduced yet another top notch hangout to its records. The Good Neighbour is a bright and spacious bakery/cafè that has just opened its doors in Newlands. Serving up a lovely selection of brunch style menu items, this venue is a great meeting point for a quick coffee date, solo work mission or a post errands pick-me-up. No matter the occasion, this space will deliver on a reliably good dining experience each and every time.



3 - Zeetan Turkish Restaurant


Hailing out of the bustling Seapoint is the all new casual Turkish Restaurant of Zeetan. This family-run restaurant specialises in authentic Turkish cuisine that's served in a simplistic and laid back setting. Try out a delicious Turkish pizza, shawarma platter, chocolate baklava and loads more dishes, at super reasonable prices! This no fuss restaurant lets the food do all the talking. 4 - The Dhow


Located on Loop Street, is a brand new Mediterranean shisha lounge and restaurant called The Dhow. Offering a comprehensive menu from breakfast to mezze to dessert, there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy. Add in some tasty mocktails and a shisha experience and your visit is sure to be elevated! This Cape Town restaurant addition can be enjoyed in person or opt for delivery on UberEats on those colder weather days.
