Batman Is Back with a Bang

Updated: Aug 22, 2022

As the world of film returns to its usual pre-covid self, and Hollywood is able to operate at a somewhat normal capacity, there have definitely been a number of super exciting new cinema releases. The most recent example, of course, is ‘The Batman’. It goes to say that current global events have had the world craving light-hearted entertainment more than ever before. This may or may not be the reason behind The Batman's early signs of success, but either way, the buzz around its release has us itching to watch the blockbuster with some delish cinema popcorn and a slushie in hand.

Adding to the excitement around the new film, was the debut appearance of ‘Robert Pattinson’ as the lead character of Batman. It defs may be a bit tricky to unsee him as the cute vampire heart throb from Twilight, but it’s also kinda refreshing to have a fresh face added to the superhero fraternity. Zoe Kravitz is another new member of the cast, who plays the role of a bisexual Catwomen.

The Batman was released to South African cinemas on 4th March 2022 and has proven to be a big hit across the local (and global) scene. After only a few days on circuit, it has quickly become the 2nd highest grossing film of the year behind ‘Spiderman: No Way Home’. The general consensus amongst viewers is that it truly is an amazing film, whether you are a DC junkie or not-so-much of a superhero fanatic, you are most probably gonna enjoy this one to the max.

Be warned though, the movie is super duper long in length as it clocks out at a total of 3 hours! Be sure to take along loads of snacks (and an empty bladder) not to miss a single second of the action.
