A Visit To St. George's Market

Cape Town’s good weather is finally here to stay! It’s time to enjoy the sunshine, the blue skies and a local market season that’s just about in full swing. Oh summer dear, you were missed to the max! On the topic of markets, there are so many going down all summer long in the Cape. Both new and unfamiliar venues are doing the most to bring an assortment of stalls to absolutely die for. Let us introduce you to one of the kinda new and kinda hot markets that has just launched in the city centre…St. George’s Market is where it's all at.

Wake up and smell the gorg roses being sold by the lovely Adderley Sisters or grab a fresh and fruity beverage from Raw Juice because health is wealth! Whatever you’re craving, this spot has got the answer. Happening every single Thursday from 11am until 3pm, it’s a different type of inner city jol that’s awaiting your arrival. Elevate your lunch break and get those steps in by trotting on over to St. George’s Mall where all the action is unpacking.

This is a market that may actually ring a bell as it did rule the roost once upon a time. However, it’s a newly relaunched version which boasts so much vibrance, warmth and good times on repeat. Curated by and for the community, St. George’s Market is a lunchtime buzz for the books.

There are loads of amazing food options on offer from many different cuisines and cultures - sweet and savoury is the name of the game. Food is a love language not to be ignored but midweek shopping is also never a bad idea. Shop some fab thrift items, jewellery and a whole lot of other cute goodies to get for you from you.
